Audition Info
Auditions will take approximately half an hour. You will learn a short dance as a group and have time to practice before demonstrating to our audition team. Then actors will one at a time sing a song of their choice (doesn’t have to be from the show, just plan to sing a little of your favorite song!) and do some reading of lines from the show that we will provide. For the singing and acting piece of the audition, it’s just the team and the actor in the room. We ask that parents and other students wait outside.
The cast list will be emailed home and posted on December 21st.
Rehearsals will start on January 18th at the Dance Complex. In general, 3rd-5th graders will rehearse on Mondays, and 6th-8th graders will rehearse on Thursdays and selected Mondays. Rehearsals are from after school until 6pm. Most students can arrange to ride the school bus to Central Square, and our staff will meet students from each school as needed at nearby bus stops and walk them to the Dance Complex for rehearsal. Parents are responsible for prompt pick up at the Dance Complex at 6pm.
We will have an all day dress rehearsal on Sunday June 9, and performances June 13-16.
